We will drive into the Tennengau a district of the state of Salzburg. First we pass the Castles of Hellbrunn and Anif to reach the city of Hallein. Here we will do short walking tour to see the former city of salt production. You will learn about the Celtics and Franz Xaver Gruber the composer of Silent Night, Holy Night.
From here on we will drive through little villages until we reach Golling. Here we have the possibility to visit the waterfall or the fortress of Golling. Now we pass the battle sights against the Napoleon troops of Pass Luegg and Stegenwald to reach the Castle Werfen. Here we will visit the Castle from Where Eagles Dare and The Sound of Music. The magnificent Bird Show in the outstanding position of the castle is a unique experience of Alpine feeling. if you want we can even visit the Ice Cave of Werfen, where good shoes and warm clothes are required. |
