This small town is located 107km away from Manaus and is reached by car, the town is located on a highway that joins Manaus to Roraima and Venezuela, and its population is 30 thousand.
Nowadays Presidente Figueiredo is being considered as the main touristic place in the region due the hundreds of waterfalls spread throughout the forest. On weekends many people leave Manaus to get in touch with nature in this paradise. |
