One of Colombia's most visited places has to be part of your itinerary when visiting Medellin. During this tour, you may climb up the 600+ stairs to the top of the 200 meter high rock of Guatape and have a superb view of the reservoir and surroundings. But if you're not into climbing stairs, you can still admire the gorgeous landscape at ground level and see the colorful facades of Guatapé's charming houses. Optional adventures include a 300 meter canopy ride right from Guatape's Waterfront or a boat-ride on Guatapé Dam to get a peek at some of the houses of several famous and infamous Colombian personalities, both of these at additional cost. |

| We'll start with a 9:30 am suggested pick-up time at your hotel. We will head east in the same direction as the airport but then take a different route when we get to Alto de Las Palmas and continue driving east along the road that goes to Llanogrande. There's no doubt this is a longer route but way more scenic and very worth the extra driving. No wonder it's known as the Green Route. After driving past the Faith Reservoir and Fizebad area we'll make a short detour for a refreshing stop at Tequendamita Waterfall. Our next stop will be the famous Wood Street in Rionegro and then head straight to the Rock of El Peñol. At the Rock, you can decide if you want to climb it or not as the view from the base is already jaw-dropping. We will then head to Guatapé for a pueblo stroll and see the eye-catching zócalos (colorful façade decorations) followed by lunch. At the waterfront, you may check out the canopy and see if you feel tempted enough to have a quick zip-lining adrenaline rush before heading back to Medellin. |

| Most of the tour can be considered of moderate effort except for climbing up the rock which invlolves going up 634 stairs which in average, my tourists have usually done it in 15-20 minutes. |

| Kid Friendly: Yes. For climbing the Rock, children younger than 4 years of age will have a very challenging time but many successfully overcome it. |
