We will explore Tbilisi , old and new . Walk in medieval city center and visit the Abanotubani Sulfur Baths, Sameba Holy Trinity Cathedral, Metekhi church, Narikala fortress, the synagogue and Rustaveli Avenue. Optional visit to Museum of Arts. On the next day we drive to the homeland of viticulture and wine-making Kakheti region. First we will visit impressive David Gareja Monastery Complex and later we will see lovely Sighnaghi town , famous for its wine and carpets. Optional visit to famous winery's cellar for wine tasting . We will explore also Bodbe Convent where St. Nino is buried . On the third day we continue Kakheti's exploration . We will visit Shuamta Convent , Ikalto Monastery with its medieval Academy , Telavi city , Gremi Monastery and Complex of Alaverdi . Optional visit to Tsinandali village , where Prince Alexander Chavchavadze's Museum of Wine , including its Enoteca , the rich collection of bottled old wine , is located and where the tasting of famous Tsinandali wine is possible . |
