Sta. Cruz is a 45 minute ride & first town that you would reach coming from Davao City going South. It is one of the coastal Municipalities in the gulf of Davao with a population of approximately 80,000 in which 5% are fishermen living in the coastline.
Sta. Cruz is reach in Natural resources including its marine life where fishermen depend on it as their main source of income. Coral reefs are also abundant in this part of Davao gulf and even around 2 Kilometer from the coast , a 5 hectare reef together with white sands can be seen of where in snorkeling is a best recommended. There are also areas where fishermen put a buoy/marker where they could go fishing using the traditional way in which people who never experienced doing it find it amusing and exciting aside from the nourishment they could get from the fresh catch which is called Kinilaw( Fish mixed with vinigar). |

6:30 AM Pick-up from hotel in Davao City going to Astorga,
Sta.Cruz, Davao del Sur. Stop over to a fast food chain
or restaurant and conveniece store along the way for
breakfast and extra food and drinks.
8:00 AM Arrival at Astorga Beach , change to swimming attire
then transfer to a traditional Filipino Banca unto the
snorkling sites.
12:00 Noon Eat Lunch and take a nap and relax for a while
1:30 PM Race Banca Ride
3:00 PM Fishing using the traditional hook and line
6:30 PM Dinner
8:00 PM Back to Davao City |
