Enjoy this walking tour (partially) throughout Downtown Rio where the city concentrates most of the old architecture and colonial buildings. Santa Teresa is one of the oldest neighborhoods of Rio, and it was built on a mountainous area. After several years of changes on the city's social geography, it has recently recovered the same old atmosphere of past centuries with its unique art, buildings and Bohemian life.
On this day we visit important buildings located in Downtown such as the Metropolitan cathedral, take the traditional trolley (optional) that rides over the city's old aqueduct to access Santa Tereza neighborhood. Arriving there soon travelers realize the reasons why the neighborhood became so popular among locals. . |
