I will pick you up with my private car "Renault Grand Scénic" with 4 seats (possibility to share the price of the tour with your friends up til 4 pax). We leave at 9am from your hotel in Rocamadour, visit the site, the 8 churches and chapels with the black Madonna, its medieval merchants street and the castle standing on top of the great rock.
Then we drive to one of the 3 most beautiful villages in the area (classified as being part of the 126 most beautiful villages of France!) We'll have a traditional lunch at a local restaurant and then visit "Autoire" with its 6 Castles, Romanesque church and waterfall. "Loubressac" with its breathtaking view on the "Dordogne valley" and "Carennac" laying near the river "Dordogne" with its fortified cloister and Romanesque church with the most magnificent and well preserved tympanum of the 12th century in the whole region.
A full day! And its time to return to your hotel. |

Start in the morning with the visit of Rocamadour, its churches and chapels, Castle and merchant's street. Then drive to Autoire, Loubressac and Carennac (3 classified villages). We walk trough the villages to see houses, manors, cloisters and churches and stop in one of the traditional restaurants on our way.
At the end of the day we'll drive back to your hotel.
The distance between each village is between 4 and 15km, so you won't be spending too much time in the car. |
