Travel to Brighton following the Derwent River and enjoyed time in the Wildlife sanctuary, meet the famous Tasmanian devil, pat the wombat and the koala, feed the wallabies and the emus…. The sanctuary has a shop selling a wide range of soft toys, wildlife books, clothes etc. . . We will then travel through the Coal River Valley wine region, to the historic village of Richmond. Visit the St John church, the oldest Christian church operating in Australia. Experience the oldest stone bridge built by the convicts in 1825. Spend some time visiting the numerous art and craft shops and galleries. Have lunch in the small historic courtyard or enjoy a "counter meal" at the historic Richmond Pub. The tour will finish by a sightseeing tour around the city, Battery point and Salamanca Place. |
