She adjusted the trip to our requests. Mai greeted us and introduced Tham but had another tour that day which we knew about prior to our Saigon excursion. Alice Frentz, United States Jan 3/12 Mai helped me navigate arrival at the busy Saigon airport and accompanied me through the streets of this intense and wonderful city highlighting historical sites and eclectic facts. She served as my map as I acclimated to the bustle of the city; and accommodated my needs. No stranger to Vietnam, I appreciated the off-the-beaten path insights she provided to enhance my knowledge of this beautiful culture. I was disappointed, however, that the cooking class listed was not an option. TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hi Alice Frentz, Thank you so much for your wonderful words! I miss you Alice! The cooking class listed in my tour page was not an option since my mom 's health condition is not very suitable for doing a cooking class...so i already remove it from my option tours in my tour page! Hopefully when she gets better, i can go continue doing the cooking tour...In your tour itinerary as well as what we discussed, we didnt mention about cooking class!So if you want it, please book the cooking tour next time!

She speaks very good English, seriously passionate about her job and is knowledgeable about the things happening in her city. We engaged her for a 2-day tour and we truly enjoyed it! She would ensure that we are comfortable with the pace of tour, but yet, learn so much about HCMC at the end of the day. Gerald Quan, Canada Oct 21/11 Mai was not available the day we were in Ho Chi Minh so she sent a substitute, Tai. He was good in that he avoided the crowds well in busy tourist places but he seemed more interested in talking to other guides when they were around. He also did not see us back to the ship after the tour and left it entirely up to the driver who spoke no English. The city tour which( as described) is started at Rex and ended at Rex-downtown Saigon is included the guide. Your port is at PhuMy-90km each way to town.You agreed to pay the additional charge for vehicle to be picked up and dropped off at the port, not for the guide. Tai was helpful to escort you in the early morning and i think i am appreciated him to do that for you! TOURSBYLOCALS RESPONSE: The substitution of Tai for Mai was agreed to in advance. With respect to transport back to the ship, since it is in Phu My, a 2 hour drive from Ho Chi Minh City, the guide and driver typically meet the customer in the morning and then the driver only takes the customer's back to Phu My.

Kevin Milton, Singapore, Singapore May 16/11 My wife and I really enjoyed our time in Saigon. Mai was knowledgeable about the sites and has an easy going personality, excellent for a guide. She was extremely helpful, organising a trip to Cu Chi tunnels and Cao Dai temple for us with a colleague. Overall she added to our enjoyment of Saigon and even provided tips for dinner. We'll definitely recommend her for anyone visiting Saigon. It was great to meet a "local" and we hope she'll visit us if she's in Singapore. Thanks again for the great days out.

My husband had a mobility problem and she was extremely helpful in having him enjoy the sites even with his disability. She was quite knowledgeable about all the sites and helped us enjoy Saigon to the fullest. She kept a good pace for us and made sure that we saw everything we wanted to see. Olivia Jong, Malaysia Feb 3/11 WoW! My family and i really enjoyed these 2-Days tour. Our trip to Ho Chi Minh was really short. I have told Mai Nguyen (our tour guide) where i wish to visit and had specially told her that we want to try all kind of Vietnamese food. She helped me to plan out our 2 days tour and designed a eating tour specially for u. She also given me some useful tips and recommended me to stay at a nice & good location hotel.
