Tina Vehorn, United States Jul 31/11 My guide was apprx 2 hours late to pick me up at the airport and eventually sent his driver. Generally communication was extremely poor and I was just waiting. Also I wanted to have a culinary tour of Addis Ababa which my guide had not planned for at all. I am a vegetarian which I indicated several times, but my guide had not paid attention to my vegetarianism and brought me to a restaurant that served only meat. I chose TBL b/c I wanted a customized tour, but I did not get it; it was very disappointing. TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: This job was the very saddest moment of my career as a tour guide. All what she said is true and it was 100% my fault. Before her arrival I had communicated with her very well and answered all her requests very fast. Unfortunately the day before I was responsible to coordinate the wedding of my best friend and was occupied 100% forgot the job that resulted those damages on the review. Frankly speaking I have never been late for 5 minutes let alone for 2 hours but it happened. It won't happen again. TOURSBYLOCALS RESPONSE: We have spoken to Mohammed and are satisfied by his explanation of what happened and are certain there will be no repeat of this kind - all other reviews have been exemplary. A partial refund has been offered to Ms Vehorn.
