He was great with the teenagers, often stopping to point things out to them (which was possibly to give us oldies a chance to catch up). Highly recommended, a great experience for us all. Never having been anywhere like Thailand before and not an experienced traveller I was nervous going into a remote place like this but as soon as I met my guide Lowey, I immediately felt safe and excited. The places I saw and people I met on the North trek I will never forget and the memories I will cherish for a lifetime. Lowey, thank you for an experience I will never forget. Robin Herrman, United States May 1/10 Lowey is a friendly, knowledgeable guide and an excellent cook. Packing your own clothes & water, this activity is moderate for those who are fit, strenuous for those not so fit. The Karen village was wonderful, clean, but very basic backpacker style accommodations. The Lahue village was dirty and somewhat disappointing and we have suggested to Lowey that he skip this village. Elephant ride was fantastic and the rafting just wonderful. Good trek if you are adventuresome. You won't enjoy if you need comfort.
