Gayle Ranen, United States May 18/11 Anton was very knowledgeable and very excited to show us the city. I had exchanged quite a few emails with him ahead of time so that he knew exactly what we wanted. However, Anton didn't really listen to us. We wanted to be left alone for a dinner and he joined us. It was an Arab restaurant, pork was pre-ordered for us. We are Jewish and he should have known that as I asked to see the Great Synagogue. So I think he should listen more, talk less and tune in to his customers. The dinner was horrible! TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you very much for your feedback, Gayle! Sorry about the misunderstanding regarding dinner - I didn't realize you wanted dinner on your own as most people want me to join them. In future, I'll make sure to ask first. The restaurant was actually an Uzbek restaurant and is known as a fine one.
