Our only negative was the lunch spot- 3 plates of beef pieces, 4 beers, two colas and melted cheese pieces $120 for 3 couples and Gabriel. Most expensive lunch in 18 tours. He needs to find a new place for tour groups.......... TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Thank you Rita for your kind words. Regarding lunch prices I agree with you, but in Uruguay you would find the same prices in similar restaurants. Besides, restaurants charge 22% VAT and a table fee of 3 USD pp for cutlery, bread and butter plus 10% tip. Food has international reasonable prices, but beverages in all Uruguayan restaurants are ridiculous, they charge double the price than supermarkets. Susan Potter, United States Feb 18/11 Gabriel's tour was wonderful.He should subtitle it architectural tour of Montevideo. I never expected to see so much of the city. We combined it with Stagnari winery visit and lunch. Excellent day tour. I highly recommend it. The pace was great and we enjoyed both the city sights and the drive to the countryside to the winery. Thank you Gabe for a great tour.

John Mcmurray, United States Dec 22/10 5 star for Gabriel accomodating a late change to our original schedule to visit this vineyard (owner/manager sent email asking/saying she would like to meet us). Gabriel was extremely conversant on all aspects of our visit, and stayed with us after we concluded the tour, to provide advice and do shopping in the city. John Mcmurray, United States Dec 22/10 To begin with, Gabriel was early to pick us up to begin our tour, which was a pleasant and unusual surprise. We were provided a brochure with info on the places we were going to visit, and advised of the times associated for the different visits. Gabriel accomodated a late change in visitation schedule. Gabriel was well versed on our stops, and assisted in any language barriers that may have existed. We would highly recommend his services to anyone wishing to learn more about Uruaguay. Paul Austin, United States Nov 13/10 Gabriel has a very good understanding of the architecture of Montevideo shich made his narrative very interesting. In addition the wine tour and tasting that we attended was just Nancy and I in a very select winery. It was by far the best wine tasting experience that we have ever had.
