John McFerran, United States Oct 8/12 Gwyn grew up in Victoria and so was able to set the scene from the local's point of view. Gwyn comes well prepared with a knowledge of the City's history. She also had a notebook full of pictures of parts of Victoria as it was in the early 19th century - a nice touch. We saw the landmarks of downtown Victoria and ate lunch in China town. Then, took a short drive to Craigarroch Castle that was a fascinating place. We saw many things a tourist wouldn't find on their own. Great day and wonderful guide. TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: I had a fabulous FULL day with John and Cindy. I enjoyed our lively conversations covering all topics from the history of Victoria to the current US political scene.
