When one of the group started to feel unwell, she changed plans to accommodate that. She took us to see things we did not know we wanted to see. She was pleasant,good company and very well versed in the history of Mexico. She knew her way and delivered us in a safe and efficient way. Use Monica! She is excellent and competent. Linda Boggio, United States Aug 17/10 Monica was a experienced and knowledgeable tour guide. She was very receptive to our needs, which was particularly important because my mother, who is 83,is unable to walk long distances. She acquired a wheelchair for her at the museums we visited and paced herself to my mother's needs. At first, we had no idea of what a difference a private tour makes compared to a group tour. She made sure that we understood everything and answered all our questions. The private tour was well worth the extra expense. Besides the normal tour stops, she also took us to places that we would never have found on our own. She also is very flexible, presenting things so that my wife and I could understand but also making it very interesting for our 10 year old daughter. I think she's everything that someone would want from Tours by Local host. She is extremely knowledgeable about art, architecture, history throughout the eras from prehistory through the present. In addition, she is a delightful person to be with. She gave us tips about transportation, great restaurants, what to see in other parts of the city and when it is best to go. We had an absolutely delightful day, a perfect start to our visit to Mexico City. Monica has incredible information about Diego Rivera and the other muralists of the time. Jim and Willi Shirk, Canada Feb 4/10 As this was our first time in Mexico City and only having one full day to explore, we chose to book this tour with Monica. We would highly recommend her as Monica's warmth and professionalism made us feel really comfortable. Her English is excellent and we learned so much about the different historical buildings and museums that we were shown. Her knowledge of architecture brought everything to life for us and it was great walking everywhere. Would definitely book another tour with Monica.
