Even though I have been to the Old City of Jerusalem several times, I learned so much, and went places I would never have gone on my own, thanks to Shmuel. Even areas that I had seen before took on new meaning as I gained understanding of their significance. Shmuel did assume a certain amount of Bible knowledge, and interest in the names of minor players in the more recent history of the old city that were not relevant to us. Otherwise it was a 5 star event.

We felt very comfortable in his presence which is important for us in visiting a foreign city. We saw and heard things in four hours we never would of discovered on our own in a week's time. We met up according to plan and spent a wonderful day walking in the Old City based on my interests (he asked in the beginning and as we continued). Throughout, he provided detailed information -- history, context, etc -- about what I was seeing. A highlight was an impromptu concert in one of the churches. Would definitely call on Shmuel again!
