| Excellent tour and information from Stefan. We know a lot more than we would have if we had done this tour on our own. It might be a good idea to have a better plan for lunch, ie know what we were doing at the start although what we had was fine. It was great to have time to do this tour but in our own timeframe |
| TOUR GUIDE RESPONSE: Hello Stephen, I enjoyed your company very much. As for lunch, there are seven options along this route ranging from hot dogs to a hotel buffet. All are acceptable but none is gourmet quality like the restaurants you got to know in Reykjavik. In the past I've stopped at the nearest place when people get hungry, and in a place that is not overcrowded. From now on I will place more emphasis on the lunch stop and introduce the options at the start. |

| We found the tour conducted by Stefan very interesting and informative. As a party of eight it was the ideal way to visit the Golden Circle of Iceland as a shore excursion from our ship and Stefan's driving and contribution was excellent. Would definitely recommend. |

| Our guide, Stefan, was terrific. The area we saw was spectacular, and we would do the tour again without question, hoping for better weather.
The 4 rating rather than 5 is due to the van used on this tour being awkward to get on and off when your place is the rear seat. In case you wonder, we are neither overweight nor elderly. |

It is true, the Ford Econolines which probably are the most common people movers in the US, are a little difficult to enter / exit if you're sitting on one of the two last benches at the back of the vehicle. | Stefan was amazing! He worked with our family to make our day enjoyable for the adults and our 6 year-old. His knowledge is unsurpassed and his stellar reputation has been well earned. His flexibility allowed us to explore more thoroughly the things that interested us (including some things off the beaten path) while continuing to move at a pace that left us feeling we had Iceland virtually to ourselves. | Our tour was the best possible introduction to Iceland that one could expect. Stefan's company was friendly, patient and welcoming, the conversation was enjoyable, amusing and enlightening, and he gave us just the right amount of personal space to be together as a family from time to time. We appreciated it all, and were so impressed with his knowledge of the landscape (which was spectacular to look at) and the history of Iceland. A terrific day. |

| Our guide, Stefan, was wonderful. His knowledge of the country --present and history--was so informative. He was very sensitive to what we would like to know and see. He provided us with a view of his country that was both personal and historical. We simply could not have had a better experience. I am not comfortable with heights --Stefan was so non-judgemental and determined to give us the best experience he could with my reservations in mind. It was an amazing experience. | Stephan was at the dock waiting for us with a sign with our names. We could not have had a better guide. He showed us everything we wanted to see and more. He has unlimited knowledge of Iceland, past and present. All four of us enjoyed that day with Stephan more than any other on the cruise. I would highly recommend Stephan. |

| My family is ending a special trip for my daughter's graduation. We have had tours in Scotland, Shetland Islands, Iceland & Ireland. I can say, without hesitation, that our day with Stefan around Reykjavik was our VERY BEST! We had good directions, information, exact timing and Stefan even went so far as to take pictures with his camera and will e-mail them to me. Couldn't have asked for more. We had a chance to meet his family & he treated us like family and friends. It was a day we will never forget! |

| We had an excellent trip with Stefan. He customized the tour so we would have time to shop in the afternoon, so he was very flexible. He speaks English very well and is extremely knowledgeable. We learned quite a bit about Iceland, its politics, geography, energy sources and the culture. He recommended excellent restaurants. We would definitely have Stefan guide us again on our next trip to Iceland. |

| My husband and I took two tours with Stefan, this Golden Circle Route and the Northern Lights Surprise, and we cannot say enough wonderful things about Stefan -- incredibly knowledgeable and informative about Iceland, Icelanders and what we were seeing, helpfully accommodating given our tight schedule, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our experience special. This is our first time with "Tours by Locals", and Stefan has set a very high bar. We would join Stefan on any tour in a heartbeat. |
