The butterflying were amazing to see but beyond the butterflying Carlos' knowledge filled the car journey full of amazing interesting facts about Mexico. He really took care of us and knew all the inside tips. Rob Condon, Australia Feb 11/13 This was a brilliant day in a beautiful, mountainous part of the country. We were lucky to visit on a still, sunny day when the butterflies were particularly active in large numbers; more were still hanging in large clusters on trees near the top of the mountain. We particularly enjoyed Carlos' extensive knowledge - not limited to the Monarch butterflies, their habitat and behaviour, but also his enthusiasm for Mexican history, culture, architecture and political and social evolution. Audrey Ryan, United States Jan 18/13 We had a wonderful time today visiting the monarch breeding grounds in the high forests of Michoacan. Carlos was a fabulous guide: he was punctual, well dressed, had a very clean car, and the best part, he knows his profession. We had hours of conversation in the car covering lots of mexican history and social subjects. Best of all, the experience in the park to see the butterflies, riding the horses up to the site (optional), and discovering the local foods and original crafts. We give him high 5 stars. Tavor White, United States Mar 3/12 Carlos provided us with an INCREDIBLE tour of the monarchs. He is extremely knowledgable, responsive, and easy-going. Not only did he provide us with a quick extra bonus tour of Mexico City on the return trip, but also he left his house late at night to drop off a package that we left in the car. He is totally professional and a pleasure to spend time with. - Highly recommended!
