We went to Yangminshan National Park (in time for Cherry Blossom season), its surrounding areas, and the National Palace Museum. It was great having someone we could easily converse with in English and who gave us excellent suggestions on places to go and things to eat, but who was intuitive and gracious enough to allow us alone and quiet time. It felt like being brought out by friends to explore the parts of the city that my husband and I were into. We loved the food recommendations and the interesting trivia and practical tips on Taipei that we picked up from them (like proper queuing on the mrt). Also loved the "care package" and the personalized map of things to do that they gave us. Will definitely get in touch with them again on our next trip there. He drove us where we asked and helped us buy tickets. We expected a tour and did not get it. We learned nothing about Taipei from the driver. We would recommend her highly especially for visitors who need an experienced guide with fluency in multiple languages and good local knowledge. Because of the earthquake in Japan we had to make last minute changes to the itinerary. Christine handled the changes with no problems. One of the best places we visited was a teahouse that had the best tasting beef noodle dish and milk tea. It also had a great gift shop. Have no doubt, she will take of you.
