Trish Slade, United Kingdom Oct 16/11 Lowey is a great guide, truly knowledgeable about his country and culture. Nothing was too much trouble, and he took us to some great places we wouldn't have found otherwise. He was fantastic with our two young sons, answering all our questions. He even took the children suffering from a combination of altitude sickness and jet lag in the back of the tour van in his stride, just laughing it off. Karen Blair, Canada Sep 10/11 We had a great time with Lowey - he was very friendly, knowledgeable, easy going and he cooked us a delicious dinner when we stayed in one of the hill tribe villages. He was also very patient with us during our trek through the forest and jungle... as one of us was a little less prepared for such an adventure! I'm very happy that we chose to spend our weekend with Lowey - he was very accommodating of all of my requests during the planning process! :) Thanks Lowey! Todd Stonitsch, United States Aug 11/11 Wonderful guide! I did a 2day/1night tour to see the hilltribes around chiangmai. For any tour, you will always visit tribes that make part of their money with tourism there is almost no way around this unless you spend many days out of chiangmai. However, we spend the night at one tribe where yes, they did put on a show, but afterwards we all talked over beer and whiskey, we traded songs we liked, etc. It was a great time. He did not constantly bombard us with endless talk, which was just what we all liked. He also let us go at our own pace & speed was much appreciated. The driver for the day was also excellent. Nina Sever, United Kingdom Apr 18/11 An amazing day with an informative and very helpful guide. Lowey is a gem - highly recommend this tour; we took 12 year old daughter with us and she coped fine with trek. Wouldn't advise taking younger children especially in hot weather though - a long day. It was great to be off the beaten track for a few hours and joining in with local Songkran celebrations during the bamboo rafting was a real treat. Thanks to Lowry from Sever family. This trek shows simple village life, and was well described (it is not touristy!) and delivered. Excellent food too! Well done and thank you! Robin Herrman, United States May 1/10 Lowey is a friendly, knowledgeable guide and an excellent cook. Packing your own clothes & water, this activity is moderate for those who are fit, strenuous for those not so fit. The Karen village was wonderful, clean, but very basic backpacker style accommodations. The Lahue village was dirty and somewhat disappointing and we have suggested to Lowey that he skip this village. Elephant ride was fantastic and the rafting just wonderful. On first meeting we thought he was really friendly We were very lucky to have only us on the trek. Lowey was excellent with great general knowledge and forest craft. He made us feel very special the visit to the village was unforgettable and we could not have been treated better. The food situation and his friendlyness was excellent. He comes highly reccommended.
