Donald Lehman, United States Jan 17/13 Ashish did a very good job. he met us at our hotel promptly...had very good transportation arranged to the train station... The round trip tickets to and from Agra. Once we arrived in Agra... He had transportation arranged for the full day... In all cases unlimited water was available. While in Agra...the tour of the Red Fort and the Taj Mahal was outstanding. During the remainder of the day we visited a local craft area ( no pressure) and a fabulous upscale jeweler. We asked to spend more time at some sites and less time at others and he was prepared to adjust to our needs. I have MS and have limited walking ability. We warned Ashish about my extra needs and he was prepared to take us the easiest ways possible, to help me move my legs, to help hoist me up when necessary. :) We had fun and we were never disappointed. He was alert to our interests and even altered the tour to include a wonderful visit to a National Park when he saw our delight in watching birds. I was thoroughly disappointed and will not travel with ToursByLocals in India again. This is the only poor review in this 2+ years withI TBL. I've led 24 other tours for the company, Most of them resulting in excellent reviews. Hours before the tour, Yosra asked me to take my camera with me as hers didn't have enough battery. I took my camera and took photos of her as requested. This prevented me from giving my 100% as a guide. She might've got frustrated when she could not get photos to share with friends/family in time. He told us that the tour seemed to gone as planned as the photos he took of the customer with his camera show. We've further contacted the traveler and offered a partial refund for the tour.

He took care of all our needs, meeting us at the train station, arranging a comfortable car, taking us to a great restaurant for lunch, visiting three UNESCO world heritage sites, and treating us to a beer before waiting with us at the train platform for our return. None of our time was rushed. We learned so much about the history, culture, and architecture of India. Ashish is very knowledgeable and I highly recommend this tour. The tour was interesting and Ashish was open to any questions. I would recommend the tour to others. A few negative points include the price (120 USD), which I felt was a bit high for 1 person since it does not include entrance fees, also I think it would be nice if he took care of tipping the driver. Alan Sonnex, United Kingdom Nov 22/11 Ashish is an excellent guide. He is young, enthusiastic, speaks near-perfect English, and has a very good knowledge of the sites visited. We learned a lot about Indian culture and history as well as local information. The village school visit was delightful, and the restaurants visited were good. The tour does include factory/retail outlets, which some might wish to exclude, but no undue pressure was applied. Overall a very enjoyable and informative tour that we would commend to any traveller. He really knows the history of Agra and its many monuments. He was able to tailor the tour to my interests! His english is excellent and he told me he provides tours in French as well! He walked me to my train coach and waited until the train departed. Very professional and courteous! The stone merchant he took me to was very pushy, which was unexpected, otherwise, 5 stars.
