Gavin Harvey, United Kingdom Feb 27/12 The tour was varied and interesting with this exceptional young man. We travelled the night train from Giza but train timings had changed and we were unsure when we would arrive I had told Girges I thought we would get there at 0730 but it was 0535. He was there to meet us. The tour went without a hitch and our guide was very informative and personable. Due to the train we had some hours to kill afterwards, Girges arranged a carriage around Luxor. He insisted on staying with us until 10pm. A fine man. Girges was very attentive and knowledgeable in the history of the temples and surrounding area. Sunil Lala, United States Dec 30/10 Abydos is one tour that a lot of tourists do not take and therefore I was surprised at the level of knowledge that Girges had about the temple there. As I have mentioned in my West Bank tour review, Girges is an outstanding guide with vast knowledge about Egyptian history and mythology. Having him with us made our trip to Luxor that much more interesting and rewarding. I would strongly recommend him as a guide to whoever is thinking of visiting Luxor Egypt! I had read up a bit on Egypt's history and peppered him with questions throughout the tour. He patiently answered all of them and provided us with fantastic insight into the history and mythology of Egypt. I would very strongly recommend him to anyone thinking about visiting Luxor and/or Abydos.
