Cave paintings and megalithism, the first forms of sacred art, were practiced around the world at different times. After the flourishing periods of paleolithic rock painting aprox. 20000 years ago, particularly in Western Europe the peoples of the Neolithic age (about 5000 to 2000 BC) erected fascinating megaliths (literally = large stones) which still raise many questions about its technical and religious aspects. Several of the most singular examples of these ancient monuments can be found in the environs of the enchanting town of Ronda. On an all day excursion we visit both an exceptional stone age-cave with more than 3000 graphical themes and the most important megaliths, immersing ourselves in the mysterious world of our remote ancestors.

Our day and the time we start the tour is flexible and is meant to accommodate your schedule and interests.
I suggest the following itinerary:
1. Meeting with Matthias, your personal guide, in Ronda.
2. 25 minutes' drive to Benaoján.
3. Visit of the Pileta Cave.
4. 45 minutes' drive to the most significant dolmen in the area of the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park.
5. Way back & visit of another dolmen near Montejaque.
6. Towards 5 pm arrival at Ronda. End of the service |

| Meet up location: I will meet you at Plaza de España, next to the Parador Hotel. We can arrange a sign beforehand. If you wish, we can also set up a different meeting point (at your hotel, for example) when you book the tour. |
