Find out about the history of Peter's creation. Was he right when he willed into existence his "paradise on earth", counting the cost of thousands of human lives in the process of his reforms? These reforms were intended to socialize a barbaric Russian population and train them in new European ways. Starting from Trinity square, which was one of the first official centers of the city under protection of the Peter and Paul Fortress, see how it moved to Basil and Admiralty islands after that. You will be able to see the Palace embankment, Admiralty embankment, English embankment and much more. As Peter the I wanted everyone to use boats and would not let anyone to build a bridge before his death, so you shall have a boat trip on the Neva.
