Visit the beautiful oceanside communities of Monterey, Carmel, and Pacific Grove. A drive along the 17-Mile Drive, with its scenic ocean views and the famed Pebble Beach Golf Course, is a must. You can also stroll down John Steinbeck's Cannery Row, the home of the fantastic Monterey Bay Aquarium and of old sardine canneries that have been converted into shopping centers. Take a walk back in time through the old Spanish mission in Carmel. Wander through the charming streets of Carmel and lunch at one of the village's many wonderful restaurants. |

We'll drive from San Francisco to the Monterey Peninsula along the scenic coast, stopping for photos along the way. Our first stop on the Monterey Peninsula will be Cannery Row, where you can visit the old sardine canneries that are now shopping centers and/or the fantastic Monterey Bay Aquarium.
Then it's off for an oceanside drive through Pacific Grove and the 17-Mile Drive. Golf fans will want to stop at world-renowned Lodge at Pebble Beach.
Finally, we'll head to Carmel where you can stroll among the shops and galleries and also visit historic Carmel Mission, if interested.
We'll return to San Francisco via the faster inland route. |

| The National Park Service prohibits guides from leading tours in Muir Woods. Therefore, on tours involving a visit to the park, I will talk to you about the trees during the drive to the Woods but will let you stroll through the redwoods on your own. |

If your group is between 4 and 6 persons, there is a $100 surcharge for a total cost of $870. |
