Are you into karaoke? Do you look for a karaoke bar as soon as you arrive at your vacation destination, or before you go? Then you're like me, and I've explored every avenue of San Miguel de Allende to find the best karaoke bars and DJs. Let's go out and sing in San Miguel together! One bar has a stage and is packed with tourists. Another is Mexicans only. Yet another has sofas and remote microphones, so you don't have to be in the spotlight. Finally there are a couple of places where we can croon a tune in English or in Spanish while eating lunch or dinner. BONUS: I own a karaoke machine with more than 3,500 songs--half in English, half in Spanish, with a few in Italian and Hebrew--so we can hang out at my place, pick our songs and practice before we hit the stage. If you like, we can combine karaoke with salsa dancing, club dancing, dinner, movies, live theater, whatever is most fun for you. Nightlife is MY life in San Miguel, and I can't wait to share it with you! |

Optional practice session at Anne's place: 1-2 hours, starting as early as 4pm or as late as 8pm, whatever works for you! If you want to practice, then go out for dinner, then meet at a karaoke venue, that's fine, or you can skip the practice session and we'll just go out and sing!
Depending on the day of the week and the venue, karaoke begins at 7pm, 9:30pm, or 11pm. If you prefer a home party, we can start any time.
You'll have up to six hours of "guided" time, which allows for practice + one karaoke venue, or visiting up to two different karaoke venues, or one home party. You choose! |

| Meet up location: Our meeting location is up to you! If you want a practice session at my place before going out, I can pick you up or give you the address. I'm a 20-minute walk or a 5-minute cab ride from the Jardín Principal (main square) and La Parrochia. Otherwise I can meet you at a restaurant or at the karaoke venue we choose, based on your preferences. |

| End location: At the end of our time together, you may wish to stay out later or take a cab home, or I can take you back to your hotel or home. |

| Tours last four to six hours depending on number of locations we visit, and including transportation time if transportation is provided by the host. Note that practicing and choosing songs can be so much fun that you will want to book two tours, either back-to-back (e.g. afternoon/evening on the same date) or two evenings in a row! |

| 100 Mexican pesos - You will need cash for food, drinks and transportation. Taxis are 25 pesos (day) to 30 pesos (eve), incl tip. Or, for US$5 or MX65 pesos each way, I can carry up to four in my comfortable SUV within San Miguel proper (sorry, no pickups in outlying areas). Payment required at pickup. Appropriate behavior is expected—e.g. no open beverages, no smoking—and seat belt use is required. Groups including drunk or unruly passengers will be refused and any prepayment will not be refunded. |

| There are three big benefits to the "Sing in San Miguel de Allende Tour" that you won't get by trying to find the karaoke venues on your own. FIrst, there's my professional karaoke machine and more than 3,500 songs to choose from, plus a private space to practice, snack, and have cocktails if you wish before going out! (Note: There are NO smoke-free karaoke bars in San Miguel, so if you are allergic to smoke but still want to sing, I can arrange a home party for you!) Second, you won't have to wonder about finding the place, or what to wear, or how the rotation works (it varies by venue), or choosing the best place to sit, or finding the bathroom, because I'll guide you. This is especially important for women travelers because my presence will help to keep the "bad boys" away—I know who they are, and I know the managers at the karaoke venues, so you will be safer with me. One more thing: I'll take lots of pictures of you singing and send them to you online at no charge. Photos are the best souvenirs! |

| Food, beverages and gratuities at the karaoke venues are optional, and prices vary. Transportation also is extra, but walking is free, and San Miguel is a very walkable town. |

| Transportation Method: Everything in San Miguel de Allende is easily accessible by taxi for 30 pesos in the evenings, 25 pesos during daylight hours (rates include tip). For US$5 or MX 65 pesos each way, I can accommodate up to four passengers in my SUV and am happy to pick up and drop off your group as part of our tour time. Depending upon where you are staying and which karaoke location(s) you choose, you may be able to walk. |

| Kid Friendly: No. Teenagers welcome for early evening karaoke outings (i.e. before 9pm at most locations), and kids of all ages are welcome at home parties. Let me know if you would prefer to stay at my place for a private karaoke party instead of going out to the bars. (Appropriate behavior is expected at all times in my home, e.g. no excessive noise—we're singing, not screaming!—no smoking, drinking only in moderation, and no drug use. Drunk or unruly guests will be asked to leave and no refunds will be given.) |
