The sages of old spoke of two Jerusalems; a Jerusalem of 'above', a heavenly Jerusalem, and a Jerusalem of 'below', earthly Jerusalem. This tour works on many levels too, first we will experience the 4 quarters of Jerusalem from above, from the ramparts of the Old City. With expert knowledge of the history of the town you shall see Jerusalem throuh the eyes of all its inhabitants throughout the ages. Then we shall go on a Spiritual Journey to the Holy Sites of 3 religions. We shall follow the journey of pilgrims throughout the ages and walk up the via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. We shall also follow the older route of pilgrims to the Temple Mount, holy to both Jews and Muslims. |

My Services as a licensed Tour Guide. A shopping break in the Arab Shuk. A 2 hour walk of the Ramparts of the Old City A 30 minute Walk up the Via Dolorosa and visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (Guiding will take place in front of the Church) A Walk to the Jewish Quarter and Coffee Break An overview of the Temple Mount, the Mosque of El Aksa and Dome of Omar. A Visit to the Kotel We will end at lunch time in the Jewish Quarter. |
|
The tour participant is responsible to bring their own water (1 liter minimum) and all other relevant items like a hat and sunscreen. I would recommend experiencing Middle Eastern Food, buying lunch in the Jewish Quarter at one of the many fantastic eateries. For something a little bit special I can recommend a meal in the new Mamilla development or one of the fantastic restuarants in Yemin Moshe. Additional spending money for snack and souvenirs in the shuk is also recommended. |
