Rishikesh is a small town known as International capital of Yoga which is situated on the bank of Holy Ganges. Many tourists, Hindu religion and yoga-meditation seekers visit this beautiful town every year. Yoga was became popular with Swami Shivananda in 1936 A. D. from this Holy town. This town is surrounded by Shivalik mountain range so it's base of Himalayas. Rishikesh is famous for many Ashrams and Temples.
There are many places to visit as day Excursion for 7-8 hours trip. One of these is Kunjapuri Temple to see Great Himalayan View and down valley view to Rishikesh and Haridwar. This place is situated on 1645 mtrs altitude. It's really nice to see great Himalayan peaks like Chaukhmba(7140mtr), Kedarnath(6940mtr)Banderpunch(6500mtr)etc.
Kunjpauri is Temple for Goddess Durga and It's Sidhpeeth and on occasion of Durga festival, it's organized festival for 9 days at this temple.
Really it's worth to see view of Himalayas and down valley view any clear ski morning until 11 AM. |

After breakfast drive for 23 km towards Gangotri Highway. Upon arrive we have to climb 308 gentle stairs to arrive at temple on altitude of 1645 mtrs.
It's nice to see view of Great Himalayan peaks like Chaukhmba(7140mtr), Kedarnath(6940mtr)Banderpunch(6500mtr)many more peaks and down valley view to Rishikesh and Haridwar.
Kunjpauri is Temple for Goddess Durga and It's Sidhpeeth and on occasion of Durga festival, it's organized festival for 9 days at this temple. Have the Packed Lunch.
After visiting temple and have pooja in the temple back to drive for Rishikesh. On the way visit from out side the Palace for Ruler of Tehri at Narendernagar.
After visiting all this witness evening ceremony on the bank of Holy Ganges.
