What is the Baekdu-daegan? The Baekdu-daegan (White head - Great ridge) is a 1400km geographical feature that runs along the entire length of the Korean peninsula. It is a ridge that is the watershed of the Korea. It is never broken or crossed by water. It begins (or ends) at Korea's most sacred peak Baekdu-san on the Chinese border in North Korea and ends at Jirisan's Cheonwang-bong in South Korea. The 735km South Korean section is walkable for hikers. These days it is a wonderland of stunning mountain scenery, religious significance, and cultural identity. People walk it to embrace its energy and to experience a sense of pilgrimage and personal self-development. It has been illustrated as the national energy and vitality of Korea, a natural wonder! Spirituality of the Baekdu-daegan The Baekdu-daegan has constantly been a place of high spiritual significance, and this is strongly illustrated through the number of Buddhist and Shaman temples that frequent the sides of the Baekdu-daegan. |

| This a negotiable two month walk, that can be done one-time, or done over a series of weeks or weekends. Prices can be negotiated at the time by hikers if they choose to do this walk in sections. One of the reasons why this walk demands a premium price is that it is best down in the prime hiking seasons between May and June, and Septemebr and October. Hike Korea is normally pretty busy during this period with other walks. |

| Meet up location: Hikers will be met in Seoul and transported to the strat up point, unless otherwise arranged. |

| This is NOT A 30 DAY WALK, it is a two month walk that can broken up into smaller sections. It is best done between May and June, or Septmebr and October. It can be acheived during winter but prices and equipement requirements will increase.It is not a recommended walk during the hot monsoon summer months of July and August. |

| All transporation to the start point and disembarkment areas. When not camping, hikers will share accommodations in a non-luxury manner, i.e. the group sleeping in the one same room. All food is included except personal hiking snacks. |
