The Hermitage has only a few equals around the world, comparable for the scale and quality of the collections and beauty of the exhibition halls. Nowhere else is the museum of culture and art so tightly fused with history of the country. The museum covers the imperial winter residence with the main throne room of the Russian Empire, works of art purchased by Catherine the Great, when she started the Hermitage, paintings by Rembrandt, Leonardo and Raphael as well as works by Impressionists and throughout the twentieth century to Picasso.

You DON'T NEED to book ENTRANCE TICKETS online. I'll do the booking for you, it's included in the cost of the tour. If you do booking yourself your guide also needs a ticket as other individual visitors (and we queue to get it ). These are the rules of the Hermitage. It's more work for you and more difficult for me to save your time and avoid a line at the entrance.
We'll meet in the lobby of your hotel or another pre-arranged place and walk (go by taxi, public transport or pre-arranged car) to the Hermitage. There we'll see the state rooms of the Winter Palace, masterpieces of European art (old masters), Impressionists, Post-Impresionists, Matisse, Picasso and the private quarters of the Winter Palace. Everything is variable! If you prefer interiors to paintings, old masters to Impressionsits or if there is something you like particularly, don't hesitate to say! In that case I'll arrange our tour in the way that will give us more time for the section you're most interested in.

The only museum in the city well equipped for wheelchairs. One can also rent a wheelchair at the reception desk in the Hermitage. But anyway let me know in advance.
Kid Friendly: Yes. A bit too boring for them, but with 5-10 year old kids we played sort of a game and it made their time easier :)
