| There is no requirement for a guide to have a license to give tours. However, if the tour guide is also the driver, then they are required to hold a Passenger Service License and have a Private Hire Registration. The driver must hold a Passenger Endorsement and must also complete a log book, and must record all work time. Drivers must not exceed the allowable work time. The vehicle must hold a Certificate of fitness (CoF) Some rental vehicles are not suitable as Passenger Service vehicles due to the narrow aisle space, seating arrangements and lack of cargo barriers.
