Depart from Toronto going west. We will by-pass several interesting sites in downtown Hamilton heading to village of Caledonia on the Grand River. From here we follow Grand River Scenic Parkway downstream. This part of the valley is rich with interesting historic sites & beautiful view points. After short visit of Dunnville, we continue along Erie lakeshore, past sandy beaches, rocky outcrops and several parks to Port Dover. Here we turn inland to Brantford to visit: National Historic Site- A. G. Bell Homestead and Woodland Indian Centre & Museum that commemorate life of Canadian hero & Mohawk Indian chief, Joseph Brant. |
