A walk inside a less privileged community shows to everyone how Brazilians can be so creative and natural survivors transforming, what for some people might be lack of luck, into a big opportunity. The term "favela" is already known by many people. These areas were abandoned for many years due to political interests. Fortunately nowadays we can visit some of these areas with no fear, and even better, we can recognize the pride being recovered on people's faces after so many years of living in contempt. This is a walking tour where you can get in touch, to what is today a Brazilian reality, a great view of the neighborhood and a cold beer with a local to show people some of the Brazilian large diversities and how people manage to get by…and the best secrets that only locals know!. |

| We begin walking up the hill and crossing the first houses of the community. Then we keep walking right through a reforestation area up to the top of the mountain where we can stop and enjoy a great view of the ocean. A good tip on the way back is stopping at simple bars to get some refreshments. |
