Discover the "Garden City" with a day tour of central city landmarks, the Port Hills, Lyttelton Harbour and Sumner Beach. . . . . . . earthquakes this year have damaged a lot of buildings which are being rebuilt or demolished at the moment so the city is very busy . . . Christchurch is almost all open now. . . . . . . the Cathedral can be seen from a distance and many sites of interest are visitable though we will not be able to enter damaged buildings. We can pick you up from Christchurch or Akaroa and also offer a day tour of locations near Christchurch(Kaikoura, Arthurs Pass etc. ). . . . or a multi-day tour(Tekapo, Nelson Mt Cook etc. ) . . . . we are happy to pick up from cruise ships in Akaroa if required. |

| Our tour includes Cathedral Square and its neo-Gothic Cathedral, Victoria Square, Christchurch Town Hall, Original Provincial Chambers, Canterbury Museum, Arts Centre, Christ's College, Botanic Gardens, Hagley Park (third biggest city park in the world), Mona Vale Homestead and Gardens. We drive up the Port Hills to the Sign of the Takahe and along the Summit Road with views of the Southern Alps and the Port of Lyttelton. We finish the day at Sumner Beach where you can take a short stroll along the waterfront and walk up Cave Rock for a great view of the Pacific Ocean and Christchurch beaches. . . . . . . . PLEASE NOTE. . . . . . due to the recent earthquakes roads are being repaired and many buildings are being rebuilt or demolished. . . . . . Christchurch is changing daily we may adapt the tour/route to accommodate the rebuilding process. |
