Stellenbosch (2nd oldest town in South Africa) is exceptionally pretty and is also famous for its university.
Franschhoek is the gourmet capital of South Africa, and celebrates its 17th century French Huguenot origins in a quintessential African way.
Paarl is the 3rd oldest town in South Africa and is home to a unique attraction - the one and only Language Monument in the world, nestled under huge granite domes.
Rich history is reflected in many of the neo-Dutch, Georgian and modern Victorian architecture.
