This tour can be taken during the morning or afternoon. You will be collected from your accommodation and taken for two wine tastings and a cellar tour at two of the beautiful and historic Constantia Valley's wine estates. Constantia is a region of the Cape situated close to Central Cape Town - a 20 minute drive. It is South Africa's original wine producing region with estates dating back 100's of years. The valley is a beautifully wooded, wind protected area with a genteel atmosphere. Wines created there are world renowned for their quality. |

Our route to the Constantia Valley hugs the mountainside and winds through Cape Towns leafy suburbs. On the way we pass the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens - an oasis of diverse floral and natural beauty. Our route takes us over the Constantia Nek mountain pass and into the valley. Our first stop will be at Groot Constantia Estate and it's many attractions. Groot Constantia is South Africa's oldest winery and boasts a well preserved Cape Dutch style farmstead with beautiful peninsular views. Here we will take a cellar tour ending in a wine tasting. The tour then visits one of the valleys other estates for a second tasting. Our return route is via Hout Bay and along the scenic 'Atlantic Riviera' coastal road back to Cape Town. |

| Meet up location: You will be collected from your place of accommodation - hotel, guesthouse, cruise ship etc. Please note a R100 (USD15) will apply if your accommodation venue is further than 20km from Cape Town CBD. |

End location: You will be returned to your place of accommodation or alternate central Cape Town location at your request.

Transportation Method: I use a new Hyundai Starex mini-bus (7 passenger seater) with leather interior and air-conditioning. I have a Public Drivers Permit and the vehicle has an Operator's Card (registered for use as 'passenger transportation for reward') and has Passenger Liability Insurance.
For larger groups I rent vehicles and drivers from reliable service providers. |
