Discover Bangkok by public transport, a fun experience by tuk tuk, water taxi, long tail boat, train and sky-train.
See Bangkok in a different way, taking the roads less traveled. We go to Bangkok's central station Hua Lamphong, here we take a short train ride to the slums of Makkasan where we continue by foot and explore the slums and meet the Slumdog Millionaires. With a local watertaxi we go to the oldest part of the city. See where the most beautiful Buddha's are made by craftsmen in the traditional way.
Then we take a break and enjoy a delicious Thai lunch on the river side.
We explore the amulet and Buddha market. Collectors are coming here to find powerful and lucky amulets. We take a fun tuk tuk ride to the flower and vegetable market. From here we go by long tail boat through the khlongs (canals) and see the local life in the "Venice of the East". We do a very special boat tour where we visit local peoples houses.
Optional: instead of the Makassan slums we can visit Chinatown |

| Have to start early to catch the train at 8AM, for most hotels we can leave around 7AM. If your hotel needs a different starting time I will inform you. For cruise ship passengers please book tour for 7AM, and inform your expected arrival and departure time. I will revise the sequence to match with your available time. |

For cruise ship passengers arriving in Laem Chabang port (less then 2 hrs driving from Bangkok): for pickup and return on same day the cost for minivan hire, fuel and toll way is 5000 THB (170US$/120EUR).
For cruise ship passengers arriving in Klong Toey port (very close to Bangkok): transfer by taxi against actual cost on taxi meter. Estimate 100 THB per taxi, per way.
For guests staying in hotels in central Bangkok there are no extra costs. |
