Let's go hunting for the magnificent aurora on the Icelandic winter sky. The guide will use the opportunity to tell you interesting information and stories about the lights dancing on the sky while we are waiting for the lights to appear. Please observe that this is a "hunting" tour. Mother Nature is in control of the lights. Please notice that the Icelandic winter evenings can be extremely cold so you need warm clothes with you. We will be watching the sky outside the car: this is an sight best experienced outside in the fresh night air. |

| Pick-up at 8pm. We drive out of town to a place where we wait for the northern lights to appear on the sky. The drive out of town can take up to one hour. We will be watching the sky but if they don't appear on the sky we will start approaching town again at around 11pm. If the lights appear on the sky on the way back the guide will try to stop the car so we can enjoy the spectacular show on the sky. |

| 1000 ISK - You just need some pocket money in case you want to buy something warm to drink or eat. You also need some coins for WC in Iceland. |

| Please notice that Mother Nature is in control of the northern lights. We never know for sure beforehand whether we are going to see them, for how long or what kind of a show they are going to give us. If you don't see the northern lights during the tour then you can get another tour for free within the next week. |

| You must be able to get in and out of a car. You need to be warmly dressed. The winter nights can be cold in Iceland. Please le me know beforehand if you are handicapped or have some special needs. |

| Kid Friendly: Yes. You can take your kids on the tour but this is an evening tour. We won't be back at your hotel until late. Please make sure your children will be warm during the Icelandic winter night. The timing of this tour needs to be flexible because we won't go unless the weather is OK and we can find a clear sky or at least windows on the sky. If we cannot go on the booked night because of these reasons we will use the first chance to go. I will let you know before 6pm whether we go on the booked night. |

My guide knew exactly what to do. We stopped a few times as she told us about the landscape below, and the plants and trees in the area. She regaled us with stories of the early settlers in the area, of the hidden people, and many other tidbits that made the hike amusing.
