Prague is a city rich on various architectural styles. We can find here almost all of them, beginning with the Romanesque style through Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Classicism, Empire, Art Nuveau, Art Deco, Cubism up to the relatively new one called the "Socialist realism". This particular tour is a walking one and focuses on various architectural "jewels" in town. We will start in the Prague Castle area on top of the hill and will work our way, mostly downhill, through the streets of Mala Strana, Old Town, Jewish Section and New Town. During this tour we will talk about the age and architectural style of many houses and palaces along the way. Some of the styles are very unique and limited to Prague, only. |
