See the Most Famous Places -- the Capitol, the White House, the Lincoln/Jefferson/World War II Memorials, the Smithsonian Museums -- and the smaller monuments between them. Take those photos you need to show all your relatives back home that you really came here! We'll use a combination of walking, Metro (subway) and perhaps taxi if you become tired.
This full-day (8-hour) tour allows us to visit Arlington Cemetery or take the indoor tour of the Capitol or visit a neighborhood (Embassy Row?), which we usually can't do on the shorter introductory tours. |

| Typically: (outside only) US Capitol, Supreme Court, Library of Congress, National Mall and Smithsonian museums, White House, Washington Monument, World War II/Vietnam War/Korean War Memorials, Lincoln/Jefferson Memorials; if time permits, walk through The Castle (the original Smithsonian building) and visit the tower of The Old Post Office Building to look out over the city. Some sites we will visit, some see from a distance, depending on time and energy. |

| Meet up location: Your hotel or Union Station (or other convenient location). Will describe my dress at the time of arrangement. |

| End location: Depending on the tour, your hotel or near one of the downtown Metro stops or taxi stands -- convenient for relaxing with dinner or drinks before going back to the hotel. |

| If poor weather we can push many of the stops indoors. |

| Don't provide private transportation, but can help arrange this with local companies if desired. |
