This is a full day tour from Vienna to the highlights of Wachau Valley, the most scenic part of the Danube river. Starting in Vienna we will visit Melk abbey, one of the most outstanding jewels of baroque architecture. Then you board a boat on Danube river that passes pittoresque river banks, impressive castles and marvellous situated wine villages. Before going back to Vienna you will hear the story of the English king Richard Lionheart who was imprisoned at Dürnstein during a short walk across that small medieval town. |
