North of Vancouver in Squamish, BC is a wonderful museum dedicated to the huffing, puffing monsters of steel and steam. The West Coast Railway Heritage Park boasts an impressive collection of steam and diesel locomotives and rolling stock. It is also home to #2860, the famous Royal Hudson.
To get there we will travel the magnificent Sea To Sky Highway along the shores of Howe Sound. There will be several stops to admire the views along the way.
The museum is open all year (except Dec. 24/25). For more information have a look at the website of the West Coast Railway Association, http://www. wcra. org |
