This tour is a full day of adventure. If a mix of some moderate hiking, walking and crossing a small suspension bridge sounds like fun then this is the tour for you. The most physically demanding part is in when we hike along abandoned logging roads where erosion has created some uneven surfaces requiring attention to where you put your feet, and where at the most spectacular falls, you can back down a steep bank with the assistance of some good strong ropes for the best view. You will learn to identify the major tree species, some aboriginal culture, about the life cycle of pacific salmon species and tons more. Visitors often say to me that they would never have seen so much if they hadn't been on this tour
Meet up location: I will pick you up if you are staying in or near Port Alberni, or at Sproat lake. If you wish to meet somewhere else, contact me and I will arrange a location that is easy to find.
End location: I will return you to your accomodations or the original meeting spot.
Transportation for the day. Catered gourmet picinic lunch. Bottled water. Trekking poles. Great stories. Wonderful memories.

Camera. I recommend bringing a raincoat. Good footwear is mandatory. Rubber soled running shoes, day hikers, hiking boots or any such foot wear. Sorry, no sandals or high heels or leather soles.

Transportation Method: I use a 10 passenger Ford Econoline Van with air conditioning and a PA system to transport guests. I keep the van clean. It is safety inspected to commercial passenger standars set by the provincial government every six months.
