A walking tour on a narrow path, no road, including 2-5km of walking in serene quiet among the flora and fauna of a Nordic forest, close to a lake, having a swim or wintertime walk on ice.
If lucky, we can see a Nordic moose or deer, otter, eagle, osprey, owls, smaller creatures. There are lynx, occasionally (but rarely) bears and wolves. To see tracks of them is possible.
The tree was the beginning of the industry 500yrs ago, the base for the Finnish wealth of today.
We take it easy, barbeque sausages on an open fire and enjoy a soft drink, tea or coffee. |

From the city centre, railway station and airport, the drive takes about 45 minutes.
We walk, barbeque, maybe enjoy a swim, relax 2.5-3 hours, then back to point you choose in the Helsinki area.
There are country side restrooms.
Rain does not disturb us; I have rainjackets in the car if needed (4 adults, 2 smaller ones). |
