Join me on a hike through Tiger Leaping Gorge. The air is clean, the views breathtaking and you will get to experience rural China as we pass a few people working their fields and living in the scattered mountain villages we'll visit.
The trek is possible by relatively active people, but there are some good climbs. We go to about 2700 meters on the first day.
We start from downtown of Shangri-la (Zhongdian) or Lijiang and drive to the tiger leaping gorge.
It will take 5 to 6 hours hike to half way guest house to stay overnight. Next morning continue our hikking to MR ZHANG's inn or TINA'S guest house for lunch, in the afternoon, go down to the most attractive hiking part--middle gorge and low gorge!
We then return to Shangri-la (Zhongdian) or Lijiang.
