There's a Chinese rhymed saying 'Above is heaven, below is Suzhou and Hangzhou'. Unlike the natural beauty of Hangzhou, Suzhou is much more historical and elaborative. The city has been taking an important role in Chinese history for over 2500 years but still keeps elegant today. It's renowned for the ancient gardens, river towns, Kun opera and silk embroidery etc.

Take around 35 minutes by bullet train from Shanghai Railway Station to Suzhou Railway Station.
the 1st day- Go to the The No. 1 sight in Suzhou called Tiger Hill, or the No. 1 traditional garden, the Humble Administrator's Garden, and then take taxi to the Shantang ancient street. Finally, visit the Silk Museum.
the 2nd day- Stay in the Moon Bay village in Xishan plantation surrounded by the Taihu Lake overnight, then pluck a kind of well-reputed green tea, Biluochun (Green Spiral), or loquat, bayberry, ginkgo, peach, jujube, chestnut the next morning, according to the season. Select the tea leaf and stir-fry by ourselves, then savor our own tea. Walk around the village in the afternoon. If you want to experience the horse riding, we can turn to a farm on the island after that.
Take the train back to Shanghai. |
