The State Hermitage is a world-famous museum with a collection which numbers about 3 million exhibits. There are 5 main buildings: the Winter Palace, the Small Hermitage, the Old Hermitage, the New Hermitage and the Hermitage Theatre.
You can get acquainted with the art of Western Europe and Eastern countries displayed in the ornate historical halls and galleries of the Hermitage. Among the masterpieces, there are works by Leonardo da Vinci, Rafael, Michelangelo, Rubens and Rembrandt. As well, the Hermitage possesses one of the best collections of impressionists and post-impressionists, including paintings by Monet, Renoir, Matisse, and Picasso.
If you wish to have theme-based excursions devoted to a certain type of art or department, please let me know in advance to make necessary arrangements. Among the unusual tours are: the Treasure Galleries of the Hermitage (Gold and Diamond Rooms) and Storage Facility of the State Hermitage (The Repository of the Hermitage in Staraya Derevnya).

On foot or bus/subway ride to the Hermitage museum.
Excursion in the Hermitage covers 5 buildings and includes the state rooms of the Winter palace (Small and Large throne rooms, Gallery of Patriotic War of 1812, Malachite Hall etc.) and beautiful halls of other buildings and, of course, the highlights of the collections.
Treasure gallery and other special tours should be booked additionally. Their cost should be discusses separately.

Return back to the hotel or to another demanded in advance place within the city limits.

You can book a taxi to get to the Hermitage museum - starting with 500 rubles (one-way trip).
You can use public transportation: bus, trolley-bus or subway. 19-26 rubles per person for one-way ticket .
I can arrange the private car and the driver's services for you. You need to inform me about that in advance. Transportation by private car and driver plus waiting hours (gratuity for the driver is also included) - 2500 rubles for maximum 4 pax. |

| One can hire a wheelchair in the Hermitage. There is a lift. But the excursion in museum is quite long. It's usually very crowded in there. Please, make sure that you've got an assistant to push the wheelchair and to help you to get in and out of the lift etc. If you don't have such a person, please, let us know and we'll do arrangements to find such assistant in Saint-Petersburg. It will cost extra. |
