Take advantage of being away from the crowds of summer guests and enjoy museum galleries and luxury palace rooms as if they belong to you only. It is only in winter time that you can try horse riding on a sledge - the Russian Troika. The city is so special on winter nights - when snow reflects evening lights and the city becomes so charming and quiet. . . Beside all this, there is an intensive cultural and musical life - the Mariinsky Theatre Group normally performs here, at home: in summer it leaves the city for touring. Hurry up! | Start at your hotel. Going through the city towards the town of Pushkin (outside of the city) where you will visit the Famous Amber Room in Catherine Palace and experience a "Russian Troika" horse ride. As a variant it might be a visit to Pavlovsk' Grand Palace, with a horse ride as well. Return to the city, visit the State Hermitage museum. As a variant, it might be the art gallery or other museum. In twilight - a walking tour in the very centre of this glowing city. |
