Peterhof is a unique gem in the collection of St. Petersburg sights. Started by Peter the Great on the shore of the Gulf of Finland it surpassed world-famous Versailles by its splendour and charm. Peterhof was the official summer residence of the Romanovs and now it's a huge museum-reserve with several palaces (big and tiny) and 150 fountains.
Fountains work from May to October, but the Grand Palace works all year round and off the tourist season is not crowded!
During the tour we'll see the fountains, including trick fountains loved by Peter the Great and one of the Grand Palace.
Options - hydrofoil (can be added to your program upon your wish).
I'll meet you at your place and a car/mini van will take us to Peterhof, a little town a one hour drive from St. Pete. On the way we'll see residential areas of the city and some historical monuments that survived WWII.
In Peterhof we'll see the Upper Gardens, the Lower Gardens, the Grand palace.
We can also make a break for lunch.
Then we'll drive back to St. Petersburg (if you don't choose optional hydrofoil. See WHAT'S EXTRA section)

Monday and last Tuesday of every month the Grand palace is closed
Fountains work from May to October. However winter time is perfect to visit Peterhof palaces. No crowds and long lines!
Restrictions:
I am not permitted to guide in the Russian language in the museums - only English. In Russian can be only city tours.
there is a staircase in the Grand Palace and no elevator. Only possible if there is someone in the party, who can bring the wheelchair up and down.
Kid Friendly: Yes. Trick fountains are great fun! But get ready to have a soaked kid. Dry clothes and a towel will help:) Or waterproof clothes if it's not very warm.
