Santa Teresa's narrow streets are lined with double-story town-houses with vivid gardens, studios and restaurants surrounding its most important architectural gem - the Santa Teresa Convent. Escadaria Selarón para o Convento de Santa Teresa Staircase that gives access to the Santa Teresa Convent with 215 steps covered in ceramic mosaic in green, yellow and blue, a homage of Selarón, the plastic artists to the Brazilian population.
Besides the cracked colored tiles, the laces of staircase also show fullsize tiles from various parts of the world. Thus it became a collection of tiles with almost 1,000 different pieces. |

We had a GREAT time touring with you in your beautiful city. Thank you so much for showing us all the sites. We especially enjoyed the Samba School farmers market, and Selaron Stariway. Of course Corcovado was amazing and feeding the monkeys on Sugar Loaf. We have great pictures of it all. If anyone should request a reference we would be happy to reply. You are the BEST!!

Even though it rained in Rio, we really enjoyed your company and had a great time with you. You were the best guide we have ever had and can't thank you enough for making our tour so much fun. We still laugh at the sight of you sitting in the pouring rain taking pictures of us at the Christ the Redeemer statue. We talked to other people on the cruise and they were not happy with their tours and some were even cancelled because of the rain.
